I have been curious about the idea of going to Mexico, Czech, or even India and Thailand for high quality but super inexpensive (compared to the States!) prices. Sounds like it is do able but it's a bit more involved. I hadn't even thought about how hard it might be to research such a thing as specific doctors beforehand - this does trouble me. Anyone out there have any experience with so-called "cosmetic surgery tourism" they'd like to share? How was the quality? Was it worth it to fly out there and do it or was it more stress than worth the money saved? I am glad I find this article. But I've personally had a nose job and chin implant and it helped me feel awesome about myself. I did it in eastern Europe (Czech) and saved about half of the price I would've paid in the UK.
